Just wanted to share that the Build your own Interpreters challenge on CodeCrafters is based on the Crafting Interpreters book and is free at the moment.

(Disclaimer: I work for CodeCrafters, and built this challenge).

Nitpick : I think you mean SAAS and not SASS.
Clearly Mars.
Re:Build Your Own BitTorrent on Thursday October 19, 2023 @01:16PM (#37945650)
I don't think that option is there anymore.

Started the build-your-own-git tutorial and there is a hard paywall after the 3rd stage.

Parent said 10x of the nobel, so it's more like $10M.
It sure does. One chinese person driving a gas vehicle, shouldn't be blamed over Taylor Swift taking a thousand trips on her jet just because he is from China. Everybody needs to pitch in.
Re:Monetal – Free Expense Tracker on Saturday July 29, 2023 @02:39AM (#36917551)
Hi Kruiller!

Thank you for building this.

I just have one request, can you add a proper export feature ? Maybe as a json. Your current export from the 'All transactions' page, then 'Share' doesn't include the payment account.

Re:Ask HN: How do you manage your personal finances? on Tuesday July 11, 2023 @02:34AM (#36677167)
This looks fantastic ananth. I use beancount for tracking my finances, is there anyway to use this GUI on top of the beancount files ?
Aren't you missing a 1000 there ? 10^6 / 175 = 5.7 x 10^3.
This is superb, very Black Mirror-esque.
Re:Show HN: Generate startup ideas based on HN comments on Thursday April 06, 2023 @12:02PM (#35470333)
Topic : 'Climate' Output : Create a platform that helps people calculate their carbon footprint based on their family's historical lineage and the environmental impact of their ancestors. Use this information to motivate people to take action to reduce their carbon footprint and contribute to a sustainable future.
Re:Microsoft 365 Copilot – your copilot for work on Thursday March 16, 2023 @04:14PM (#35187803)
If this works as well as it's marketed, I wouldn't be surprised if MSFT touched a $5T valuation.
Hopefully Dang and HN will persist.
Re:The technology behind GitHub’s new code search on Monday February 06, 2023 @02:18PM (#34682601)
Was looking for more details on the data structure 'Geometric filter' mentioned in the footnotes. Couldn't find anything (a few unrelated papers in object recognition aside). If anybody can share anything that would be great !
Jackie's going on the hall of fame.
TrackerControl also supports viewing network activity for each app, and then blocking network access entirely or for specific hosts.

Is their any additional features in Rethink ?

Thank you for building this application BTW.

By ads you mean the popular articles from Pocket?

That is an ad for Pocket ?

Re:Spotify vs. Apple Music Review – 2022 Edition on Wednesday September 21, 2022 @03:37AM (#32921865)
For every artist Spotify currently shows :

- Top 10 tracks.

- Artist posted playlist if any. (Only 1 is shown here, maybe the most popular one ?)

- Entire discography. (Singles, EPs, albums in chronological order)

- Spotify editorial playlists prominently featuring said artist.

- Merch.

- Bio.

- All artist posted playlists.

- Similar artists.

- Soundtracks or albums where the artist was featured.

If you don't mind me asking, can you share some more info on this? Did some searching around, and only found one [1] semi related issue from 2018. Is this the one you were referring to?

Could you share how you use Obsidian for GTD? Do you make use of the Kanban extension or something else?

A tutorial is much required. Apart from that nice execution.
Re:Musk announces funding secured for Twitter buy on Thursday April 21, 2022 @11:54AM (#31111116)
TSLA is helping rich people think that they are helping combat climate change, whilst keeping their unsustainable car centric lifestyle.
Re:So, you want to be a darknet drug lord on Thursday March 24, 2022 @12:25PM (#30792088)
Where can I find more about this?
+1, this version is better. And Magnolia1234 is more helpful and polite towards her users. Would recommend.
Just to add to this, in firefox, you can use the extension "Add custom search engine"[1] and you can add any search engine to your firefox search engine list, and to the address bar. Another benefit of using this, you can access your saved preferences while searching from the address bar. DDG, Startpage, Kagi all give you a bookmarklet URL which you can add through this extension.
