You have great taste in unicorns, I have to say.

Sparkles, nice work! This looks very, very inspired by Cornify (http://cornify.com). I also added the konami code to the Cornify script last year (http://www.cornify.com/js/cornify.js) for another example that doesn't have dependencies.

Those 'corns are looking pretty sparkly. Mind if I use them on Cornify?

Re:The Facebook F8 Story No one is writing: Nothing works. on Sunday April 25, 2010 @04:27PM (#1293462)
I had basically the same experience updating cornify.com to the new social plug-ins. Documentation is incomplete, the Facepile doesn't work at all, and using an older Facebook Connect library at the same time breaks everything.

This has been my experience for a long time now. Even when talking to big clients at work, we're simply not encouraging integration with the Facebook APIs since we can't be sure what's going to happen.

Another thing that is a big downer is that the plug-ins can't be skinned. This may be good to keep the brand visible and establish a minimum level of design quality, but for agencies it doesn't work since it's impossible to create something dead-sexy.

Personally I'm most excited about the paranormal romance "Unicorn School: The Sparkling". Start reading half-way down. http://www.antipope.org/charlie/blog-static/2010/04/psa-new-...

Re:In New York City, Fewer Murders on Rainy Days on Thursday July 02, 2009 @07:34PM (#685382)
I think people are so excited about the upcoming rainbows that they forget about all bad things. Searching Twitter for rainbow just brought up a ton of results from people in New York going "Awwww" and "dancing under the rainbow"... quod erat demonstrandum?
Re:Ask HN: Review my webapp: hapylink.com on Saturday April 11, 2009 @02:20AM (#557295)
Just posted an update to the site. The API is now available (via http://hapylink.com/hapify.php?link=) and links are also shorter now.
Re:Ask HN: Review my webapp: hapylink.com on Friday April 10, 2009 @02:10PM (#556498)
Most links are actually longer - but they are a lot happier and more like to viewers smile, which is the core focus of Hapylink.
Re:Ask HN: Review my webapp: hapylink.com on Friday April 10, 2009 @02:10PM (#556492)
It's all good. Please keep in mind that Hapylink is not a url-shortener, but a url-happifier. Like you say, url-shortening is over crowded, so Hapylink focuses on more of a niche audience of users with unhappy links.

Thanks for the suggestion. I'm on it.

Let me know if there's anything else I can do to amplify your ability to spread happiness.

Thanks for the detailed suggestions, those are all good points. An api-type feature, like you are suggesting, is on the way, and the other suggestions are now on the list.

Happiness all the way!

Amazing, glad to hear that the upper east side has been cornified thoroughly.

What type of statistics are you looking for? Or better, what type of insights would you like?

Sorry. Will fix this issue asap.
Re:Review my website: Cornify on Saturday January 31, 2009 @06:20PM (#460233)
Sorry to disappoint you. We're focusing on "less is more" and after long debates we decided that frolicing was something our users could live without. We take your feedback serious and if there is more user request, we will certainly be open to a later implementation.

No worries, the business model is fully thought through. We're expecting to be profitable in phase 3.

Review my website: Cornify

http://www.cornify.com

Cornify is all about giving internet users choice of customization. MySpace is a great example of a successful company with a similar vision. Facebook with its Windows 3.1 look - not so much. Cornify provides a service that allows users to cover any website in a beautiful array of unicorn and rainbow imagery - taking back the web one 'corn at a time.To give credit where credit is due, this...
