No, not at all. I registered with my real ID card, completed the face verification, and I never used a VPN. That is exactly why this makes no sense to me. I still do not know what the compliance issue even was because I never received any clear email explaining it. I only realized something was wrong when my customers told me they could not complete payment. Their support has been terrible.

Ask HN: Gumroad suspended my account, blocked my payout, and stopped responding

Gumroad suspended my account and said it was a compliance issue, not fraud, but gave me no real explanation.Since then, they limited my access to parts of the dashboard, my payout date kept changing, and the money that was already there is still stuck. I contacted support many times and got no response. At this point, it honestly feels like my money is being withheld without transparency, and I...

Re:What stack of models is behind this tool? on Tuesday March 17, 2026 @10:10PM (#47420854)
It's just calling them ImgDream 5.1 and ImgDream Fast, maybe they are just models APIs
Re:What stack of models is behind this tool? on Tuesday March 17, 2026 @09:45PM (#47420710)
I checked this tool, especially the image generation part, and I don’t think it’s using OpenAI or Gemini... models at all. I’m curious what it’s actually using?

No need for any ChatGPT model for NSFW, www.chat18gpt.com is enough
Re: on Saturday March 14, 2026 @10:52PM (#47383836)
If Chat18GPT is truly different, then the difference is probably in memory, prompting, conversation structure, or how it keeps the experience coherent over time.
Re: on Saturday March 14, 2026 @07:39PM (#47382523)
I tried this for a bit out of curiosity, and my first reaction was is this actually a custom model setup, or is it basically ChatGPT with the restrictions removed??!

What surprised me is that the public alpha18.1 model seems to have almost no visible limits at all compared with the usual chat products. That made me wonder what is actually different under the hood, because if this is already what alpha18.1 does, then what exactly is alpha18.5 Plus supposed to add on top of that? LOL

A lot of security writing about agents is speculative. Moltbot already has real incidents, and they map to the exact mistakes most people make.
Re:Is Moltbot safe? on Saturday January 31, 2026 @12:04AM (#46833675)
Honest question, how are people trusting this already? I keep seeing it everywhere this week, but it is basically a tool that can touch files and run commands... The hype feels fast for something that can wreck your machine if you install the wrong thing, so just why and how

Ask HN: What is the psychology of Reddit users?

I’ve been using Reddit for a long time, and I’ve noticed inconsistent reactions to similar posts. Sometimes I receive positive feedback and upvotes; other times I receive a lot of negative responses with no obvious explanation. After two years of using Reddit, I still don’t understand how Reddit users think or the psychology behind these reactions

Instagram, TikTok and YouTube feel free, yet they quietly turn every swipe into ad money. Tell the calculator a little about your daily routine and it uncovers the tab running in the background. Most people are shocked by the number that pops up.

Re:Scaling is not the story anymore. What GPT 6 might change on Thursday January 08, 2026 @04:55PM (#46547044)
Everyone talks about model size, but that feels mostly solved.

The real open questions for a GPT 6 level system seem to be reliability, long term memory, tool autonomy, and knowing when it is wrong.

Curious what people here think is still fundamentally broken in current LLMs that a next generation model would need to address.

my tool clipnotebook.com, It lets me save links as visual cards and organize them into playlists, I can share a playlist or the whole notebook with one link.,The best part is there is no login, It generates a private key URL that gives access to your notebook

Ask HN: What makes you instantly downvote a post?

I want to understand what triggers the “nope” reaction on HN. Sometimes a post might be interesting, but something about it feels off and people downvote fast. What makes you instantly downvote a post here? What patterns make you trust a post and upvote it?If you have examples of good vs bad wording, I would love to learn.

Re:Ask HN: Any experience with high risk payment processors on Tuesday December 30, 2025 @09:07AM (#46433437)
Thanks a lot, I really appreciate it. Quick question, did you personally try any of the tools in that playlist? If yes which one is better, and what was your experience with it in real use...

Ask HN: Any experience with high risk payment processors

Hi; I am a solo developer running a small online service. Stripe and PayPal are not an option for my use case, so I am considering a high risk payment processor or a high risk merchant account. If you have used one before, can you share how it went in practice-How long did onboarding and approval take for you-What extra documents did they ask for, and how strict was the review-What fees did you...

You're not losing your mind, and you're not just "bad with passwords." What you are experiencing is a powerful biological response. Your brain, under even a small amount of stress, is actively hiding the key from you. Understanding why this happens is the first step to overcoming it.
great, thank u so much
