Hi, I'm a Java developer with 5 years experience building low latency (<100us tick-to-trade) electronic trading systems for a major Investment Bank. Most of that time has been spent building up the infrastructure but in the last year or so I've been focusing on algo development. I'm interested in similar opportunities, as well as other industries that may be able to utilise my skillset!

Location: London, UK

Remote: Yes, happy with up to 3 days in the office too

Willing to relocate: No

Technologies: Low Latency/Zero GC Java, TypeScript, Python, SQL, q/Kdb+, Solace, RV, Sequencer Architecture, Event Sourcing, Binary Protocols

CV: On request.

Buzzwords: Low Latency (single digit micros), Event Sourcing, Binary Protocols, Distributed Systems.

Résumé/CV: On request, in short: 4 years @ IB, Placement Year @ IB, Summer Intern @ FAANG, CompSci BSc.

Currently building out an electronic trading platform at an Investment Bank, varied mix of work around algos, execution analysis, order/market data gateways, UI backends, etc. Good fun but I've been here a while so starting to look out for opportunities to broaden my horizons, maybe join a startup? Particularly interested in fintech, logistics, and live events/music sectors. Open to learning new languages - especially something lower level like Rust/C++. Other likes - small teams, minimal bureaucracy, automation, tough requirements (latency, throughput, distributed, etc).
