I sincerely doubt David Wong will offer any rebuttals to your very valid points.

It pains me to see how many posters on this thread are not aware of the leakedsource (.ru, .co, etc.) websites that show the exact thing HIBP shows, except with a much higher fidelity.
Am I the only one here who doesn't prefer self-service?

Although I definitely appreciate the idea of having options for people who do not share my mentality, my ideal shopping experience is where I have to do the least amount work.

I don't want to have to put my cart up. I don't want to do self-checkout. I'm not going to tell a robot what kind of vegetable I want. I appreciate being able to call a store to resolve an outlier issue.

As a consumer, I will always be willing to pay extra $$ for what I suppose is now becoming a premium perk.

Not all Nordic countries even have minimum wage laws (Sweden, Norway). I'm not sure how you were able to construct that observation.

Re:Chris Hughes Says It’s Time to Break Up Facebook on Thursday May 09, 2019 @05:56PM (#19872829)
Chris Hughes is right on a lot of things.

But to create a new Federal Agency that can write blank-check laws is not a good idea.

What ever happened to the Schoolhouse rock song "I'm just a bill?" What happened to laws being written through approval of house and congress?

We are pushing for laws to be written by people who do not have the citizen in mind (FCC killed Net Neutrality ring a bell?). Why is it so crazy to expect the House and Congress to do their diligence and vet all laws? Why must we create federal entities to do the heavy lifting for us at the cost of removing representation?

>>I can't touch

Yes you can. If you're actually going to go broke when you're 60, I'd HIGHLY recommend touching at least a bit of that cash at the cost of federal income tax.

There is nothing wrong with rejecting software because of the technology it uses.

Think about how important maintenance is. If an organization doesn't have in-house skillset to maintain and enhance software solutions they buy outright, why would they want it?

Exactly. The ability to delete user data should have been something engineered from the ground up. They are paying the penalty of technical debt and hopefully learning some tough lessons.

If there is a chance this would break someone's website, why would you default this feature to being on?

Can you cite any research that would support your argument that alcohol is much more damaging to the individual?
Which many argue as unconstitutional.

We've essentially given an unelected group of people a blank check.

"Extremist" is a word that carries no weight without context.

Funny how laws are written before the context is formalized. Like a blank check for future oppression.

Re:FCC admits it was never actually hacked on Tuesday August 07, 2018 @01:12PM (#17708475)
Some of us believe federal regulatory agencies are unconstitutional due to their ability to interpret laws (isn't that the Legislative branch's job?).

EPA, FCC, and their ilk have no obligation to represent the opinion of the people.

Federal agencies are given a blank check to interpret (write) laws without any real checks and balances.

Seeing my 12 year old daughter groped by a TSA agent because she "moved her hand too early" in the x ray machine really put things into perspective for me.

TSA is the department of domestic fear mongering. That's it.
