Show HN: Super simple full-stack boilerplate split into FE and BE repos

https://www.fullstackstarter.dev/

I struggled finding a simple full-stack setup that's up and running in minutes so I built one myself and separated the BE and FE into their own repos which is just personal preference really, seems to work well thought! It's also a fantastic base project to develop further with Cursor or whatever. Hope you find it useful!

Show HN: An open-source fullstack dual repo boilerplate. Perfect AI dev base

https://github.com/Bradd3rs/full-stack-starter-frontend

After starting many new apps over my time, I decided to save myself some time and create my got-to boilerplate for setting up a python api and postgress backend, with a next.js frontend that hooks up in an instant with full crud functionality. The setup consists of 6 commands in total, it's super fast and easy. I would love some feedback particularly on how fast you get it up and running...

Show HN: Super simple free full-stack boilerplate in 2 repos. Next FastAPI Pstg

https://github.com/Bradd3rs/full-stack-starter-backend

I designed this to be two things, a super simple full stack setup (in this case 3 commands for the BE and 4 for the FE) and a really solid base for building on top of it with LLMs in ides like cursor. It's a minimal full-stack boilerplate split into two repos: a Next.js frontend and a FastAPI backend using Postgres, all Dockerized for easy local development and deployment. Both repos link to...

Show HN: I built a tool that extracts and formats any recipe using it's url

https://www.drizzlelemons.com/

I cook a lot and most recipe sites are full of fluff and ads. I wanted a place where I can store all my favourite recipes, formatted beautifully with no ads. Version 1 required the user to copy and paste the entire recipe, but version 2 you only need the url of the recipe! Would love to know what y'all thing

I really like that idea, especially suggesting to put in your own cooker setup etc. I can certainly work on something along those lines. Thank's so much for taking the time to check it out!

The input is just an input as apposed to a text area so it won't expand. I didn't really think that was an issue but perhaps it should at least have some height to it so the user can edit their input easily. Thanks!

Show HN: I made an app that makes your recipes much easier to follow

https://www.drizzlelemons.com/

The most annoying part for me when following recipes on my phone is having to keep scrolling back and fourth to check ingredients, then find my place in the method again. drizzlelemons gets around this by formatting any recipe into a smooth UX which carries ingredient amounts through each step, and breaks the process down into super easy to follow chunks. Would love your feedback if you're...

Show HN: I built an AI tool that transforms any recipe into an awesome UX

https://www.drizzlelemons.com/

If you're anything like me and have a bunch of go-to recipes dotted around the internet, it can not only be frustrating to find them again but more often than not they're awkward to follow. I wanted to fix this by using AI to format any recipe into a slick user experience where you can have all your favourite recipes in one place, but more importantly during cooking the recipes are presented in...

Show HN: I built a free feature flag/toggle app with no NPM package needed

https://www.freetureflag.com/

I tend to use feature flags a lot at work but never in my personal projects as the free options seem limited and overkill for the small apps I build. I really liked how LaunchDarkly worked but couldn't find anything free that was simple and just worked with no strings. I decided to build one myself. It's simple and just exposes an API for your app to hit with your own secret key. Would love to...

Gotcha, thanks for this, I'll slow it down. Don't want to upset anyone, I've just made some big overhauls over the past few days and am excited to show it off.
Hey! Appreciate the feedback, like you said, it's tongue-in-cheek, however I the last thing I want to do is upset anyone. I'll take your advice. Thanks!

Show HN: I built a live AI meeting copilot that asks better questions than me!

https://www.conversaitions.ai/

Hey HN! I built a real-time AI tool that listens to your meeting and prompts you with great questions to help you participate. It also answers questions it picks up, fact-checks statements and takes insightful notes. I built it because I personally needed something like this as I'm not very confident in meetings, especially group meetings. Hope it helps some of you too! Cheers, Tom

It's a token based system. Once you log in you'll have 100 tokens. If you click the tokens you'll get a modal pop up with top up options
Hey, I'm Tom. I've always struggled in meetings and interviews to ask the right questions or form good answers so I decided to combine speech to text and AI to help me during meetings and interviews etc. I built an app that will listen to your meeting and analyse it at certain intervals, and in turn respond with relevant questions to ask, answers to open questions (if GPT4 knows the answer!), fact checking and insightful note taking. So far the feedback has been wonderful so I'm super keen to see what HN thinks! Thanks a lot, Tom

Show HN: I built an AI app that helps you answer interview questions in realtime

https://www.conversaitions.ai

Hi HN, I've been working on a real-time AI app to assist the user in meetings. It originally only had real-time question prompts, fact checking and note taking but some users gave me feedback saying it would be super useful to answer questions on the fly too, so I built it! I've also added a token based system as it uses ChatGPT-4 Turbo. I'd love your feedback on how it feels and if it's clear...

Re: on Saturday May 04, 2024 @10:03AM (#40257763)
Hey! I've been playing a lot with speech to text and GPT-4, and have come up with this as I always struggle under pressure in technical interview as a software engineer. I can use this app to detect questions in the interview transcript at certain intervals (seems to work best at 15 second intervals). The AI then quickly returns the answers to any direct questions. Would love your feedback on how I could improve it. Cheers Tom
pretty cool, nice work!
Hi, I'm Tom I often find myself struggling to ask relevant or useful questions in my meetings so I decided to see if I could use chatgpt to make a sort of meeting copilot. I was already experimenting with speech to text and openAI so I decided to try and combine them in real time. It started as just a bit of fun but it's became really useful for prompting questions during my meetings. I also thought it would be fun to add an AI fact checker and note taker which has been so useful! I built it with Google's speech to text software so unfortunately it only works in Chrome right now. It also needs ambient audio for the microphone to pick up the meeting audio so headphones can't be used. If you can manage that though, it seems to be a fantastic experience! I hope some of you can give it a try and offer any feedback at all. Cheers Tom
pretty cool!
