I don't even if this is legal in your country, but in Germany they ruled against it: https://www.thelocal.de/20210518/germany-upholds-ban-on-book...

The corporations create your toothbrush, give energy to your computer, and created the phone you use.

Companies create exactly what we people need.

I feel like I really don't have any but as you said those are hidden, so maybe I have some but I just don't know that.

Scary stuff but unfortunately true.

Thiel is really smart. He always talk about the right to online privacy [1] and especially his own, because his gay, living in NZ, etc. But his actions and the actions of his companies tells a totally different story. Explanation: When it comes to money vs. privacy, money always wins.

No, you can't.

It if someone hacks you mobile bank and transfers money to another country, all you can do is go to police, which can do fuck off.

Re:AWS costs every programmer should know (2019) on Thursday June 09, 2022 @03:15PM (#31685530)
So you could easily switch away from AWS if needed?

I've heard a few horror stories of vendor locking and I can easily understand that (but no own experience, luckily).

Best that I've found for Linux. For cutting it's really good but if you need advanced object tracking or special effects, keep searching.
Re:AWS costs every programmer should know (2019) on Thursday June 09, 2022 @04:04AM (#31678696)
AWS is overrated. Most of the engineers and managers choose it because it's a safe choice for them. But in the long term the costs rise and you can't get away from it. I would even argue it's only for those who are afraid of command line.
Re:Install and run iPhone apps without using Xcode on Saturday May 21, 2022 @03:34AM (#31456016)
Anyone experience developing for iOS in Linux?

I tried it a couple of years ago and it was pure pain. Apple's vendor login forces to buy and use XCode.
