This may sound a bit consipiratory but I have wondered if the lack of support for effective long term male contraception is purposely because it's suspected that the birth rate would plummet and we would see huge population decline.

As it is now there is still a high chance of unplanned pregnancies across the population and I wouldn't be surprised if they made up the bulk of children born. If men had an effective fire-and-forget long term contraceptive then unplanned pregnancies would be practically nonexistent.

Ask HN: How do you stop the “employee mindset” when pursuing entrepreneurship?

I seem to get some comfort from having an authority figure to work with and offload some of the responsibilities to that I would have as an entrepreneur. Also the authority figure can be a source of pride when they acknowledge my work.I find that if I am unemployed it is really bad for my self esteem. How do you get out of the employee mindset and let go of the needs fulfilled by being an employee?

I wondered if there was a connection between sleep and sweet food. I've had trouble sleeping for over a decade and also have a craving for sweet foods. I try to avoid them but I just feel even more tired.
If you can get a pay as you go Sim card it may be worth it to register a new Google account just for nest.

Separate nest from your personal Google account. That's if nest is worth that effort.
