There're no discussions on HN about this company; I would think there would be, especially with concerns about the surveillance technology industry eg Flock. (There are threads about 'Spatial AI' and 'Spatial intelligence'.)

I never heard about this company until reviewing a (unicorn-seeking) job listing on their ATS. Then saw the following post on Reddit from a concerned worker at a company that started rolling-out this product/service: https://www.reddit.com/r/legaladviceaustralia/comments/1ubnh...

This company started business in 2024. (Founded 2023?) Here's a supposed interview with the founder[3].

A piece on [2] laughably begins with "retail employees are empowered" by using these devices. (Side-note: I'm suspicious [2] and [3] are, in part, AI-generated content -farms.)

You can get around that by putting the LI URL to the joblisting; or any link - none of the ATS' reject the content in that field.

Yes, there's a risk of rejection but personally I don't mind being ghosted by companies that practice this unethical behavior.

Re:LinkedIn Larpmaxxing on Saturday October 03, 2026 @04:40PM (#49947563)
Agreed. Once your profile is set (required if you want to give recruiters something to chew on), there's no need to use - except https://www.linkedin.com/jobs/ - any other part of the biome.

People are using it as a SOCIAL network, then grousing that it sucks as a social network. And?!!

Love it or Hate it, the most-accessible job listings are on LI - more so because that's where most (American) companies & recruiters post to, knowing it's where they'll find the most-accessible candidates. If you're serious about jobsearching, you canNOT not use LI's jobs service.

Sure, LI continually enshitts on that property also, like allowing "aggregators" and outright scrapebots to enshit into the listings pool; and soon forcing their AI version of jobsearch without opt-out. It's LI/Microsoft - what did we expect?

Fortunately there're some tools to make the experience bearable and almost useful.

"Stig's Last.fm Album Linkr" ~ https://greasyfork.org/scripts/21153

> Adds 'album-headers' with album-links in Recent Tracks and Library Scrobbles sections on last.fm profiles. When two or more tracks from the same 'album' have been played successively, an album-header row will be inserted above.

> Two bonus features:

> Add an Album Collage from tapmusic.net to user profiles.

> Linkify the 'About Me' section on user profiles, so any URLs there become clickable links.

It was definitely undisclosed self-promotion - and apparently also clickbait and ragebait: https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=49820340. It worked!

Extra benefit-- is now we cannot remove our upvotes - thanks HN! - so it'll stay high in the ranking, at least for awhile.

As a result, querying instance status is no longer reliable due to bot-detection and challenge systems (which I understand and am in favor of, btw). Since the project is no longer practical to operate and maintain, it is being archived."

Want to block these and other AI trash sites? Both from websearches - via uBlacklist[1], and references within other sites - via content-blockers like uBlock Origin[2]?

Use this filterlist! -- https://github.com/alvi-se/ai-ublock-blacklist

(And others e.g. https://github.com/alvi-se/ai-ublock-blacklist#similar-proje...)

Cookie-AutoDelete is effectively dead, for both Firefox and Chrome, as seen from the many Issues on its repo, e.g. https://github.com/Cookie-AutoDelete/Cookie-AutoDelete/issue... -- and hasn't been updated since 2022.

There's a supposed spinoff @ https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/auto-clear-site-dat..., but apparently it's not ready for widescale use (and it's not open-source).

Try either https://github.com/kintesh/containerise (unmaintained), or a maintained fork of it, https://github.com/max-dw-i/container-redirect -- both have a settings-setup that mimics exactly a temporary container for every site (i.e. those that are not explicitly defined in custom rules).

Ask HN: Can anyone explain this Gsearch rabbit-hole?

Okay this is very weird and even weirder to post to HN, but I don't know where else to share it (and I don't use most 'social media') and I'm really quite intrigued with what I've found, and would like the help of the community to determine how what I found is even possible.I'll try to keep the description brief - as you'll be able to test this yourself and determine your own theories for the...

Seems the gift has already run its course - for me, still getting paywalled. Are such links rate-limited?

Re:China moves to regulate digital humans - Reuters on Wednesday May 13, 2026 @09:27PM (#48130045)
Seems to be the full (albeit short) article.

> The draft regulations would also ban the use of other people's personal information to create digital humans without consent, or using virtual humans to bypass identity verification systems.

Fair enough. Many can agree with that.

> Digital humans are also prohibited from disseminating content that endangers national security, inciting subversion of state power, promoting secession or undermining national unity.

Now you're asking too much!
