a) In the context of Tesla not using full hardware limit of batteries - this is standard on all modern low to mid personal vehicle diesels, they are very software limited on charge pressure/injected fuel from pretty early rpms. Otherwise, the high pressure turbo could charge the engine off the engine compartment. Apart from obvious legal (tax levels), or marketing-profit (price bins) reasons, it is done for the same reason Tesla does it. Running the engine in such "unlimited" mode, it would have about the same longevity as a laptop battery charging always to (chemical) 100.

b) I'm on mobile, cannot find exact models now, but yes, there were two engines having the same engine block&head, acessories, turbo, powertrain and were only tuned differently in ECU. Not sure now if it was for the same model of the car itself, though, maybe it was used across different model series. And a pretty common practice in European diesel cars with average power, loading ECU maps from higher versions - although often, the car would have smaller brakes or less Nm rated powertrain.

Bombs, revolutions and dictatorships without the EU? And especially in V4 (most related to the article)?

Please, read about history and geopolitics in Europe. The idea that in stable democracies created by peaceful means (Velvet revolution, Contract Sejm, Round Table Talks), 15 years after these events some dictator with bombs would materialize, were it not for EU, is simply ridiculous.

And using Ukraine as an example of what it would be like without having EU peacekeeping in other countries is even more grotesque. The events in Ukraine unfolded in the way they did due to the political games between West and Russia, including foreign-supported politicians from both sides, and gas transit extortion. EU was very involved in all of that.

"I don't think so."

a) It is irrelevant what you "think so", that is not an argument. Weimar Republic indeed did have a secret police, Gestapo was modelled from that.

b) You are probably referring to the subsequent Holocaust and World War 2. If so, argumenting with Weimar Republic and drawing a quick installment of aforementioned practices from it is a straw man argument. You create a notion of how Weimar Republic immediately, "on a moment notice", preceded WW2 etc. (which is incorrect) and then beat that notion (incorrectly) into dust. All of that was built gradually from 1933, which is 6 years before WW2 and 9 years before Wannsee Conference.
