If you still want to use maths and science in the service of society then you've been handed a massive multiplier. Learn to use it and be better in using it than others.
Is that revenue or profit?

That link isn't working for me.

I use https://addons.mozilla.org/en-GB/firefox/addon/markdown-read... and so, for me, they do render natively.

Same. A person expressing something they learned which made them happy and which they wanted to share with the world.

The ability to create models based on observations and then use those models to make predictions.
We run AI inside VMs that are only given tightly controlled access to our internal servers. Routing calls through MCPs that only allow specific access lets us keep things secure for servers that don't allow that fine control through the API.
Same here in the UK.

I'm on Dreamwidth. I have regular conversations with a variety of people who I've known for years, many of whom I have no idea what their real identity is. There is almost no spam, because the site owners take spam seriously, and also because you get total control over what you see.
Then explain what the problem is, in clear language. Otherwise the person reading your response is going to take away only the message that you're a bit of an arse, and have no actual point to make.

I see we're repeating the mistakes of the 90s.

The source doesn't contain the actual model.

True. We very much value time over owning things that require that much maintenance. If your preference is the other way round I could see it taking up much more time (and you getting, presumably, more joy from your clothes. Most of the joy I get from clothes is from t-shirt designs. YMMV.)
There are four of us. It takes me 5 minutes to gather everything up and put it in the washing machine, 3 minutes to transfer it to the dryer when it's done, and ten minutes to separate it out and drop it in the right drawers when dry. That happens 3-4 times a week. Say 60-80 minutes total per week.
I do ¾ of those things, including two children and a wife, without a car.
Re:Amazon seeks to offload $8B of Nvidia chips to investors on Friday October 02, 2026 @11:50AM (#49934893)
It's a reference to The Big Short, where Selena Gomez guested to explain Credit Default Swaps.

(If you haven't seen it, you might think I'm joking. I'm not, and it's an amazing film.)

1x10^77 is a lot of pigeon holes.

Unless you link using tags.
Part of the effect of spending time around other people is that you get to know them, discover which ones aren't creepy, and develop connections with them. And, over the age of 25, the personal connection starts to matter more and more for people than "Are they hot or not?"

The job-getting paper ceases to be meaningful if it no longer verifies competence. If it merely verifies the ability to prompt an LLM then nobody will pay a premium for people have it, and then nobody will pay to obtain one.
