Well, if I as developer would realize that i pose my users under certain risk and i am unable to do anything about it, then the only logical and morally correct option would be, to tell that my users and cease operation.

Everything else is selfish and delusional!

Even worse.. the Pale Moon guys are unskilled amateurs of the worst classification - the kind of developers which activity should be force-closed to protect others of their unintentionally spread incompetence which put tons of other people at high risks.

Not alone that, they are rude and shit into the face of a big part of the Linux community with threatening them in the worst way possible.

Then we had a server hack with compromised binary files....

People should be made aware of Pale Moon and their amateurish activity, so they can immediately uninstall this danger-ware from their systems!

What i hate most of Ghacks articles about everything Pale Moon team related is that they are constantly taken over by the modern Anti-customization-Firefox trolls which hate everything feature rich and customizable.

I really hope that this time the comments section stays a bit more civilized... as it is disgusting to see that kind of trolls constantly showing their dislike and hate against anything which is not mainstream and not bowing done to the most simple user-base.

My personal guess is that the Pale Moon/Basilisk team has no clue how to use other compilers.

I mean, what for another reason... logical... reason would be around for staying with an ancient version?

And that is rather sad that they are seemingly unable to broaden their knowledge.

If you maintain a browser project you should have at least a more broad know-how or you should have someone on board who provides you with that if you on your own are missing that.

I value more choice in the browser market away from the Chrome or Chrome clones or almost Chrome clones - but at the same time i think also that the Pale Moon team is way too arrogant and sharp tongued against Mozilla and others seen from their own lack of abilities to find a work-around or being able to get a more complex job done.

Would anyone of you use a browser which is not able to support TLS 1.3?

Basilisk was reforked by the Pale Moon team and a new release is available

http://basilisk-browser.org/download.shtmlMoonchild productions have decided to refork their Basilisk browser code in form of the Firefox 52 Esr Base code, as their first attempt using a code beyond FX 52 was impossible to use for their reasons because of all the new code (Rust and so on) was too hard to remove.https://github.com/MoonchildProductions/UXP - the new repository of Basilisk newUXP...

Hate me for that, but my opinion is that there is no reason for using Firefox at all anymore. Mozilla as company have decided that honesty, dignity and loyalty towards their origin user base was less important than the hopeless try to defeat Google Chrome and take their place in market share.

All what Mozilla does is simplifying the browser, removing every single bit of more advanced customization features to be most attractive to the typical mainstream user who thinks that customization, features and choice is bloat and should have no part inside the product.

How should i as wary user ever have faith in Mozilla as i see what they have been doing since 2013?

If they want to be so badly like Google Chrome, then i can also use the original instead.

I - as being loosely connected to the Anonymous collective - value morality most. And that morality... Mozilla has thrown over board without thinking twice about it.

Re:Firefox Product Roadmap on Tuesday March 27, 2018 @07:40AM (#16687334)
To what for a price..

The new Firefox mainly caters to simple users. Mozilla has abandoned their feature rich concept to appeal only to Chrome users.

Mozilla's only goal today is becoming number one in marketshare and beat Google no matter what. Even if that means they alienate every single power user.

I do not at all agree with that. That is a pure simple betrayal - exchanging their origin user base against Chrome users. Opera did that too.

The issue is, there is already an over-simplistic browser - Chrome. And only a minority of Chrome users will switch over to Firefox - the hope to absorb the majority of the Chrome user base will not work out for Mozilla.

They should have kept the features for the nerds and geeks inside. You know, there is something which is called honesty and dignity. This is for what we from Anonymous are standing for and what we are valuing.

And it is disgusting to see that an Open Source organization throws all of that over board just to become mainstream compatible.
