Performance and costs aside, the fact that they suspend your account with Zero reasons given, zero care for the appeal process, and don’t even have a broken archive download process should make everyone question whether they deserve their money or can be a reliable provider or not.

My Claude AI account got suspended with zero response to my appeal request (despite the promise of 10 days) and even their backup download features doesn’t not work!
Let alone getting banned out right with no reason, zero updates after weeks, and not even being able to download your chat history (despite the feature being available (I assume they vibe coded it and it does not work!). My story below;

It's been almost 3 weeks since my Claude account has been suspended with ZERO explanation. They initially gave an appeal review timeline of 10 days which has long passed and again no accountability or even an estimated date. Fair point, but banning someone without explaining why — especially on a tool essential to professionals — is indefensible. The broken appeal process just makes it worse.

Well said. Especially as having access to frontier models become so essential to work (and even some aspects of daily life!).
I especially hate it when there is absolutely zero recourse! In some cases you can go to the competition and in some you have no other option because some aspects of the service is setup as a monopoly or high friction exit process.
I’m personally against any black box decision making that would disrupt someone’s life in any way.

On Wednesday June 17 I woke up at 6:48 AM (Eastern) local time to an email from Anthropic with the subject: “Your account has been suspended.” It basically says an internal investigation of “suspicious signals” indicates I may be in violation of a supported country policy, and that they revoked my access to Claude. It was followed by two more emails at the exact same time, stating the same...
