I don't know man, even AWS gives you cryptic errors if you have a drifting clock and try to perform some operations. Feels like a pretty forgivable mistake.
Re:Small Programming Tricks on Wednesday September 16, 2026 @03:18PM (#49731608)
While AI has made my life as a developer worse in many, many ways, I am conversely really glad the conversation has shifted past these types of tricks, framework wars, etc.
This is so, so much fun to click around. I really recommend having three tabs open — I'm like Jeff Mills in the browser.
Re:A Man Archiving Pirate Radio Station Kool FM on Tuesday September 15, 2026 @01:32PM (#49715859)
I thought Quiet Storm was on 105.3. Man I miss Philly rnb... SF radio doesn't even come close.
Re:No Atlantic hurricanes by Sept. 12 breaks a 60-year record on Sunday September 13, 2026 @12:48AM (#49680122)
Amazed that I have never heard of this. Feel like the positive PR would be a large incentive for them doing this at all.
Re:Our decision on Cursor following its acquisition by SpaceX on Saturday August 29, 2026 @12:10AM (#49486796)
And to announce it on a Friday night. Brutal.
Re:The Harness Is the Thing on Wednesday August 26, 2026 @04:24PM (#49455338)
Reading this really makes me wish that I had a slightly better workflow. I'm really soley dependent of Fable to the point that I don't use other models, and I've already sort of hit a point where I'm running into usage limits every week. I am really living on borrowed time — when Anthropic finally collapses their 50% usage increase at the end of August, I'll definitely be forced to switch my workflow. When that happens, I have a hard time imagining that I'll be sticking with a single model on a single provider.
Same as always, got it.
Re:Keygen.music on Friday June 12, 2026 @01:41PM (#48507111)
I am actually going to guess that this is in fact unfortunately not an LLM. I have been made a few audio webpages and don’t think a lot of these mistakes would have been made, even though the model can’t hear :^)
Re:MAI-Thinking-1 on Tuesday June 02, 2026 @04:23PM (#48375731)
I normally don't comment on matters of taste like this, but wow this is brutal. It's like someone threw the site in a vat of molasses.
Re:Social Animus on Thursday May 28, 2026 @05:49PM (#48316000)
Similarly blessed that I am too stupid to comprehend this post. This person compares themselves to Prometheus and is begging for cash? What? Why is this not flagged?
It's a bit like a payday loan — the drivers need money _today_ and effectively borrow against the depreciation of their vehicle.
Re:We let AIs run radio stations on Monday May 18, 2026 @05:22PM (#48185844)
I hear you — but what do you think Spotify or any of the other streaming services are? In my mind, algorithmic streaming services have much more in common with this "experiment" than your local radio DJ.
Re:We let AIs run radio stations on Monday May 18, 2026 @05:17PM (#48185777)
At this point I think many of us are similarly exhausted by this sort of trite exercise. I really don't need some VC backed startup to show me this sort of output any more, especially when the output in question is obviously boring and substandard.
Re:Rewrite Bun in Rust has been merged on Thursday May 14, 2026 @10:37PM (#48143891)
Probably one of the most reckless things I've seen in software. Beyond safety or quality, at the very least: what about all the existing contributors' PRs? Fuck 'em?
Re:Reimagining the mouse pointer for the AI era on Tuesday May 12, 2026 @03:28PM (#48113219)
Right — it does seem cool but the voice is patching over a major gap. If I'm talking already, why wouldn't I just describe what I'm looking at and have the AI grab it for me?
Re:YC's Biggest Scandals on Sunday May 10, 2026 @05:44PM (#48088410)
I do agree. The Gary Tan takedown page is equally sensational, kinda for no reason? There’s a lot to rag on with Gary, but this webpage makes it seemed like he killed a guy or something.
Re:Bankruptcies increase 11.9 percent on Tuesday April 28, 2026 @06:10PM (#47941562)
It’s also kinda the case for sports too — I literally just watched LeBron throw an alley oop to his kid a few nights ago.
Re:Bankruptcies increase 11.9 percent on Tuesday April 28, 2026 @03:24PM (#47939314)
I actually don't understand how this would affect bankruptcies — why?
Re:Warp is now Open-Source on Tuesday April 28, 2026 @03:19PM (#47939257)

Big bucks from OpenAI is my guess. I could guess the strategy is to try to take a shotgun approach at Claude Code.

Quote from article:

> This wasn’t targeting a single individual or business. It had the ability to reach thousands of devices at once.

This statement reads as AI-assisted — kinda interesting to see, because I am not sure it even is? This type of formal speech language is basically unintelligible from slop now.

Re:SpaceX says it has agreement to acquire Cursor for $60B on Tuesday April 21, 2026 @06:39PM (#47855604)
What are we even doing here.

I have no idea what this has to do with aerospace, but I know a bit about software and this does not look great. Cursor is obviously on a serious decline and has little to no moat in the area they are building in (IDE), which we kinda now know is maybe not even the right area (CLI). I feel like this is just a bad move?

Dumb devices have gotta be a billion dollar market at this point.
Re:Most people can't juggle one ball on Sunday April 12, 2026 @05:27PM (#47744698)
I’m very amazed by this site linked in the Wikipedia: https://libraryofjuggling.com/Tricks/3balltricks/Cascade.htm...

Supposedly from 2014, but looks a fair bit older.

Re:Why I'm betting on ATProto (and why you should, too) on Monday March 30, 2026 @09:55PM (#47581899)
Come on man.
Re: on Thursday March 26, 2026 @02:39AM (#47527286)
This feels like slop to me.

It may or may not be, but if you want people to actually use this product I’d suggest improving your documentation and replies here to not look like raw Claude output.

I also doubt the premise that about malformed JSON. I have never encountered anything like what you are describing with structured outputs.

Re:Bluesky CEO Jay Graber is stepping down on Monday March 09, 2026 @04:09PM (#47314762)
Fun fact: under the hood atproto bears many similarities to blockchain... it was funded in during the 2019/2020 crypto craze. I'm not too involved, but outside of a consensus mechanism, atproto looks a bit like a chain, kinda like IPFS.
