Text watermarking will surely cause a degradation in quality writing.

There's is no text watermarking that doesn't cause a decline in writing quality.

Writing quality will surely deteriorate if text watermarking is implemented.

While there were several novel designs in the DARPA lift challenge, in the end the winners by a large margin were helicopter and a quadcoptor designs which reached close to 1:4 payload ratio. Both electric or gas engine designs did equally well.

The most interesting part was watching the failure modes: main helicoptor rotors snapping under payload weight, wind gusts sending quadcoptor controls into an uncontrollable regime. Batteries and electric motors heating up under load stress.

Yet, there is only one form of life on earth exhibiting cellular metabolism and DNA/RNA replication. That original life form formed as soon as the earth became suitable for life. In the 3+ billion years since, there has been no new life form created that we know of despite the ongoing unfathomable computations.

That's not what the paper is about. But you wanted to make a statement about Covid. Go ahead.

<Unless I'm missing something ... quick mutation of the virus>

It is a long article but you missed the part at the beginning of the article explaining that malaria is not caused by a virus or bacteria but a parasite.

Also the chart labelled 'Vaccine Discovery' which clearly shows no previously existing vaccines against parasites.

Also, the world map showing where Malaria has not been eradicated clearly indicates that it is found in the tropical belt where unfortunately a lot of poor countries exist.

Re:Are Any Words the Same in All Languages? on Thursday September 07, 2023 @08:15PM (#37427556)
Sugar has origins in ancient India where it was known as 'sharkara' in Sanskrit[1].

For reasons I haven't been able to figure out, some modern Indian languages (like Hindi, Bengali, Punjabi) call it 'cheeni' which is the same word to refer to someone as Chinese. Other languages use variations of the Sanskrit 'sakhar', 'sakkare'

Re:On (My) Caste on Wednesday August 30, 2023 @07:40PM (#37330560)
If you are light skinned you are granted an upper caste status. If you are dark skinned but speak good English you get an acceptable 'firangi' (foreigner) caste. Otherwise you are an outcast.

If you are Christian or Muslim with ancestors who converted from Hinduism then under the current government you may apply for reentry using the 'ghaar vapsi' (return home) application form. You can petition for a high caste reconversion in the form but normally you are reconverted to the caste of your ancestors after going through purification rituals and circumambulating the sacred fire.
