Obi9 | Full-Stack Engineer | REMOTE (US time zones) | Contract or Full-time | https://obi9.ai/jobs/full-stack-engineer

A hedge fund analyst covering therapeutics has to watch hundreds of companies at once: press releases, SEC filings, management calls, updates on government sites, clinical data publications. Obi9 ingests all of it and surface what matters. Hedge funds pay for it today.

We are early and the team is small, so you would own entire surfaces of the product rather than pick up tickets:

- Ship full-stack features end to end, from the data model to the interface.

- Build the ingestion and enrichment pipelines that turn raw data into rich insights and alerts.

- Work on AI-backed features, from ideation to serving them in the webapp and over MCP.

- Make heavy data legible: dense tables, financial charts, document viewers, a live alert stream.

Stack: React + TypeScript, Node, Elixir, Python, distributed AI pipelines.

Beyond full-stack ability we want someone who already understands one of these worlds. One is enough, we are not asking for all four:

- Financial information systems. Bloomberg, FactSet, AlphaSense, Capital IQ, PitchBook. You know what entity resolution, identifier mapping and point-in-time data cost to get right.

- Financial domain knowledge in healthcare. Equity research, valuation, or time spent living inside filings and models.

- Audio and transcription. OtterAI Deepgram, AssemblyAI, Whisper. Diarization, speaker attribution, turning messy call audio into something quotable.

- AI-intensive products where the pipeline IS the product. Legal AI, document intelligence, medical coding. You know what evals, grounding and extraction schemas that hold actually cost.

Minimum: 5+ years building production web applications, a technical degree, fluency with current AI tooling, and eight continuous hours inside the 8:30am to 5:00pm ET window.

PS2: Mic doens't work
This was super cool to read about!

The way I think about, Pulse is an attempt to part ways from the traditional "Algos" and other machine based recommendation systems (which is what I think of as the real "shiny web")... and get back to listening to real people and just vibing with them while each one does their own thing.

Team is 2 people, with $0 spent ex tech

Thank you for the report, we'll look into that.

Re. password... we landed on requiring a password to create the room to let you retain the "HOST" status. E.g., if you disconnect and go back ... need password to authenticate as HOST so that you won't lose your room to the first stranger that finds it empty

But all rooms are open. Password is just a "Recovery password". I will update now the description text to this

Thank you so much for reporting these, we'll fix shortly
No I agree, I doubt it is a Rekordbox specific issue. If that outputs the audio as system audio, it should be doable. Thing is we developed testing mostly in Mac, so we need to pull up a Windows and actually try to replicate for longer.
From mobile or tablet? Currently hosting (and audio sharing) should be possible only from Desktop unfortunately.

Anyways, thank you for your comment. We'll investigate. If you want us to follow up with you, please drop us your email using the FEEDBACK form on the left side, referring to this message.

Mac or Windows?

If you are willing to try again once I will have replicated (with Rekordbox) and solved your use case, please drop us your email using the FEEDBACK form on the left side of the page.

Thank you for trying and for taking the time of letting us know.

Thank you for reporting these, we'll look into them and be back.
what browser / device are you using? this is not something I encountered when trying with a few different ones :/
Stack: LiveKit (WebRTC), Next.js, Node.js, Neon Postgres, AudD for music recognition.

What's new in 2.0:

Stream from browser tab or system audio (BlackHole/VB-Cable)

Music recognition with automatic deduplication and "winner selection"

24/7 demo rooms (NTS Radio, SomaFM, and yes... Money For Nothing on loop)

See Lobby rooms from inside a room

Push-to-talk overlay for hosts

Automatically add emotes dropping 7tv.app link in the emoji popup in the chat

Happy to answer any questions! PS. Audio can be shared only by desktop at the moment. Not mobile

Show HN: Pulse 2.0 – Live co-listening rooms where anyone can be a DJ

https://473999.net/pulse

I wanted to listen to music with friends who live far away. Not "watch a YouTube video together" - actually share what I'm hearing in real-time, like we're in the same room.Pulse is what came out of that. Anyone can host a live audio stream from their browser tab or system audio. Listeners join, music recognition identifies tracks automatically, and there's chat with 7TV emotes. No account...

Thank you! We'll add that pressing the volume button will trigger mute/unmute (as opposed to just showing the slider)

Show HN: Pulse – Livestream audio with 1-click

Hi HN. I needed something to feel closer to someone who lives VERY far from me, and since we both like music and share with each other all time.. I thought of creating a way to effortlessly livestream what we are listening to, with sound-reactive visualizations (more to come) and a fun chat. The idea is that as you go on with building or with your wfh job (hopefully as little calls as...
