Edit: You were totally right Matt. Brain fart.
That's a way higher evaluation than I thought after their pivot. I remember in 2012 when I had hope they would succeed as a YouTube competitor. Their staff videos were insanely funny. Sad to see I end like this.
I sympathize with him but the title is a bit hyperbole.
thx for the feedback. I tried from gmail and from the email in my account. I really hope they whitelist the emails from the user email fields though.

I have sent multiple emails over the past year (from the email in my account) but have never received a response. This is particularly disappointing given that the FAQ prominently directs users to contact this address, especially for privacy related concerns.
For most of the vibe coding crowd the novelty simply wore off. You can only tinker with small projects for so long before craving something more substantial. When the tool inevitably struggles with your evolved, more complex goals, you perceive it as having gotten worse.
As long as we get lucky nothing is going to change.
The markets didn't really budge. Apple only grew 1% in the traditional PC market (desktop/notebook) over the last 5 years and that's despite a wave of new products. The snapdragons are below 1%...
At the risk of being contrarian, investment decisions are rarely driven by publicly available product offerings alone.
Fatigue? We are fighting this with different names since 2002. I guess normal people just can't hear about it anymore and that's probably on purpose.
I don't understand why young engineers would do 996/007 work schedules for just 5% equity that gets diluted as soon as new funding round or an acquisition comes around. Look at the recent acquisitions of AI coding tools these "deals" should serve as a cautionary tale for anyone grinding away for someone else's benefit rather than their own.
The new trend is called 007.
look at the timelines again...
https://hn.algolia.com/?q=research+goblinThe 8 hours seem not to count if you submit under a different domain or do they reset after each try?
Would also be great if you would answer emails especially if they are related to GDPR. You have two of them in your inbox from over 6 months ago send from the email in my account.
N8N's influencer driven marketing has so thoroughly distorted the narrative that it's impossible to understand what's really going on with the platform. Every piece of content seems to be either "5,000 N8N workflows that made me millions" or "1 million workflows that earned me $5K each" - it's all hyperbolic noise drowning out any genuine information. Nice to read something more substantial.
It's truly fascinating to see how photography, CGI, and Photoshop are being "replaced" in these videos. I understand the appeal of this technology, and Nano Banana is undoubtedly a step forward, but we're talking about 1024x1024 images and 80% reproduced likeness here. While that might suffice for YouTube videos or profile pictures, in the real world of high-end production, we work with images up to 400MP daily. I am very adamant taking resolution as a single quality factor because usually I get ESRGAN upscaled images as a counterpoint, look the resolution is here, what people are missing is the fidelity of say a phase one or Hasselblad.
You can achieve these higher resolutions, fidelity and close to 100% reproduction of objects with considerable effort in generative AI right now, it's even a very enjoyable experience to do so, but not with a closed model like Nano Banana. When Google or other major image model providers give us proper fine tuning and custom inference, particularly for applications like upscaling, then we can have a serious conversation.
At present, while I understand the fascination, everyone should take a step back and consider what we're actually trying to replace. We are stuck at these low inference resolutions since SDXL. For genuine high-end commercial applications, we're not there yet, and we won't be without another significant leap in GPU technology.
I am answering his questions nothing more nothing less.
No, you've said that you regret not having written something earlier before everyone else took the easy angles. That's something completely different from your last response.
It's more about the feeling of regret not having written something mundane before someone else has done it.
I asked why it's popping up over and over again in new today. I wouldn't have commented otherwise.
So I called it bad because it's mundane. Looking at your answer here we don't seem to have a problem?
>> I do regret not having written about Nano Banana yet, I've been trying to find a good angle on it that hasn't already been covered to death.
That's probably your problem right here.
If you want posts like this you can just follow AI influencers on LinkedIn.
Spending thousands of words to essentially say "ChatGPT's search feature works pretty well now" with mundane examples like finding UK cake pop availability or identifying buildings from train windows. This has been done before by less capable models - it's just a rehash. Should we expect newer models getting worse? The breathless "Research Goblin" framing and detailed play-by-play of basic web searches feels like padding to make a now routine tool use seem revolutionary.
Why do so many bad blog posts get second chances these day? They are also mostly AI related?
They are whips for the boards.
We certainly have different opinions. You still have 100 API calls every 24 hours. Sorry but I would see it as abusive if my API would be hammered with over 300-1000 requests per day for the status of a damn car like some in the GitHub comments were doing.
It probably was someone else in the so sorry for the misunderstanding about the no idea stuff.
tbh I am over it there is no reasoning with people that actively want to abuse systems so they can rice their home assistant dashboard and cry about getting rate limited so they can only update their car status every 15 minutes if they want 24 hours coverage. It's not normal use. hf gl
That's the consumer protection you are talking about? Seems like no protection at all. You still haven't proven that it's illegal at all btw.
So why does it happen every day? With prominent examples of Apple, Google and others that get chastised in the media but not in court? You bring the same argument which is not the lived reality of consumers in the EU.
