But to buy that home/land from the previous owner you have to sign a contract stating you can't leave the HOA and that when you sell you only sell to those who will join the HOA and contract.

This goes back to the construction company/realtor investing to build the entire suburb and putting down the roads and such.

You generally want to prevent a crowd from getting to that point. It's a bit difficult for a handful of police to stop a crowd from lynching as it's happening.
Or opens it! Since nobody can now accuse you of doing witchcraft.
Re:Harvard professor Francesca Gino was accused of faking data on Wednesday August 02, 2023 @08:33AM (#36970005)
That's one way of turning a vice into a virtue... "Right, I've been found out to have fabricated years of research, entire PhDs are now junk. How can I make some more money out of this?"
Define counterfeit, as some lobbyists would define it by replacing a single resistor, capacitor or fuse, an independent repair shop turns a mac into a pc.

Besides, counterfeit products comingling has never bother amazon before, so why now?

From what I understand, when they plan to land on the Moon or Mars, they won't have a flame trench setup (on the Moon/Mars), so it needs to be able to land and take off from the ground.
Would it be possible to construct a file/system encryption scheme where you have a read-write passcode and a read-only passcode? Such that when given the read-only passcode it would allow (legal/valid) searches by law enforcement, but not (easily) allow fabrication of evidence by planting incriminating files?

I suppose you could make it part of a signature scheme for files (file written by passcode X) so that your defense could point to the discrepancy in your favour.

They probably already have lobbyists at the ready should these concerns appear as a blip on some political agenda. :(
Re:CVE-2022-42889: Java Apache Commons vulerability on Monday October 17, 2022 @04:13PM (#33238949)
Commons Configuration disabled the vulnerable parts by-default a couple of months ago.
I'm sure Intel will make sure they will be cheaper. Even if they have to run at a loss in the short run. :)
Or when you need to use that money by the police as part of Civil Asset Forfeiture during a random stop/search.

Don't get me started on the original (the later omnibus is way better) official english publication for Inuyasha... even ignoring flipping the reading direction and not updating references to which hand someone is using (so referring in text to a right hand, but visually a left hand) the amount of translation errors and swapped text bubbles was just maddening.
Not a physicist, if temperature of particles is movement (I think chemical bonds will break long before the following limit), then the upper limit is just below the speed of light. To make it even hotter would require infinite amount of energy. Now what that temperature is in kelvin, I don't know.
Re:Last call to voluntarily migrate Java accounts on Wednesday February 09, 2022 @06:25PM (#30280233)
Heads-up, if you still have a Minecraft (not Mojang) account, then you will need to log in with your username, not your e-mail address. This stumped me for a bit when I just (successfully) resetted my password, which was then promptly rejected at login when I used my e-mail address as username.

Luckily I could guess my username...

Re:Bitwarden: Free, open-source password manager on Wednesday January 19, 2022 @06:21AM (#29992306)
PasswordState for us (and we're predominantly a Java/PHP/Linux shop).
Especially needed, because "who knows what they will do to harm the children, maybe not this cabinet, but what about the next one?"
Main reason I heard was that enclosing it would be preferable, but then it wouldn't fit in any currently in use fairing.
Remote sensing in this case is listening to the individual sound a key makes when pressed by the victim, and wear on the keys means that frequently used keys (such as 'e' or the space bar) would make a slightly different sound than the other keys, as does the hand/finger position used to press a key.

In this case, Bill Of Materials, as in a list of all chips, resistors, capacitors and other electronic components.
You're forgetting 'legacy' devices, as in, older than a couple of minutes. I maintain an application that is used in primary education in the Netherlands, and the oldest device thus far with issues is an iPad4 with iOS10.3, which the school only invested in a couple of years ago (I don't know any further details). And in their infinite wisdom Apple fixed the safari version to the ios version, and no alternative browsers allowed. /rant
Also interesting is that his shop's policy is to ask for a password, so that they can verify everything works afterwards and that prevents people for blaming them for things that were already broken.

CORS is only applied to javascript, not GET requests via img, link or other tags that load resources.

In Dutch, Tinus usually is short for Martinus (or Martijn, Maarten or Martin, though those are also considered 'full' names).
It has happened. :(

I thought I had messed up a 'do not notify' setting. But it was just poor timing on my part.

Likewise, e-mail is my 'to-do' (or to-watch) queue. I mean, I have a day-job, and notifications on android are rather ephemeral and disorganized. One wrong swipe and everything is gone. I haven't tried those on desktop, I only get them when on YouTube, still doesn't feel useful.

With the knowledge of the current pandemic situation, perhaps the concept of 'party' and/or 'invite' is a wholly alien concept to the people of the future with access to time-machines. And assuming a similar reaction to current archeology for things they can't explain better than 'artifact was used during religious or reproductive practises' and didn't consider attending.
The original title is: "We need to DO SOMETHING about Google's anti repair shop advertiser discrimination." but that was two characters too long.
So it won't 'contract' (forshorten?/rotate?) if you move around it? That would be neat.
