Ask HN: Have you paid to have a resume/CV created?

I have been on the hunt for a new career path and have considered having a qualified professional edit my resume. I know there are a lot of resources to the "perfect" resume that I could refer to and attempt however, I am looking to see if those who have had their resumes edited by a qualified professional saw better results than the resume they had generated. Thanks in advance!

You can make an exact replica with the same script http://codecanyon.net/item/website-value-calculator-script/9...
I would suggest forcing the SSL across the board. I know, I know, I can type it in BUT it is just nice to have the little things work all on their own, even when I am logging in.
Freakin' A - I love this.
A notebook and a pen, does the trick for me.

Ask HN: Do you have business insurance?

I am sitting on a potential client that requires our company to have insurance. My group is small and all of my staff is contracted and work remotely.I looked into Hiscox and it sort of seemed straight forward in terms of policies and what we do but, I would rather hear what is used (and the expense) from actual customers vs an insurance salesman. I was told Professional Liability is what...

Re:Ask HN: What project management software/service are you using? on Wednesday December 10, 2014 @10:35AM (#8729663)
This is nice. I was introduced to "Producteev" by Jive yesterday, it seems to fit the bill (for me).

Ask HN: What project management software/service are you using?

In short, I am looking for pros and cons to software that you have tried or use to help find a solution to my needs. I feel like I have gone through a plethora of software to find what I need all to find out it just does not work right or I cannot justify the expense due to the lack of offerings.I currently use Highrise for my own personal CRM, and I like it. I also use Basecamp for projects,...

This is pretty damn rad. Personally, I would love to see an extension of this with a "pop-quiz" module that asks 3-5 questions with multiple choice answer. Think, text-books.

Please do.
Re:Show HN: Deploy your websites from Dropbox on Monday September 22, 2014 @04:11AM (#8349681)
Congratulations on your development. It seems this has been done before, and albeit it is neat what is the benefit over a low-cost "standard" webhost? I can name a few webhosts that are in the $3-5 range and offer standard tools and the ability to install a SSL.

Pretty sweet! A plugin that would only allow registration based on user invite code would be a neat addition, to me at least.

Google Map: The Perlan

I was scrolling all over Iceland trying to find the proposed area for The Land of Giants and ran across this:https://maps.google.com/maps?q=64.129100,+-21.918994&num=1&t=h&vpsrc=0&hl=en&ie=UTF8&z=16&iwloc=AIceland's Perlan : A sweet piece of architecture if you ask me - https://plus.google.com/101781362521724525045/about?gl=us&hl=en

If school books had online versions like this page, it would make reading so much more fun.

Great read, by the way.

Someone should create a 2048/Tetris hybrid. Match the numbers into blocks as they fall to complete larger blocks. Talk about a challenge.
