It was never about the drugs or migrants. Trump himself said "nothing" Canada can do to prevent tariffs[1]

Re:Why I Threw Away My Apple Watch on Tuesday December 12, 2023 @12:34AM (#38609897)
TL;DR Author threw away watch because they keep forgetting to charge it and managing charging cable was difficult.

There must be reasonably easy solutions to both of these problems.

Re:Website is hosted on ESP32 ($3 chip) on Sunday November 05, 2023 @02:42PM (#38154828)

I recently received a 144Hz ASUS monitor from the IT department at my company. I don't game on company computer and yet the difference while doing regular day-to-day work was noticeable. Cursor stutter/delay was noticeable when I switched back to my personal laptop with 60Hz setting. Time to look forward to 240Hz!
How is it different than djangogigs.com? It has been around since 2008 apparently.
I had a similar experience transferring a domain I registered with Namecheap to Cloudflare. They did not let me add the domain at all citing similar reason. Perhaps the previous owner of the domain was abusing it.

Re:Ask HN: What do you call “scriptable” software? on Saturday December 25, 2021 @10:27PM (#29689393)
ERPs are a commonplace to have this ability. NetSuite is another example.
I, for one, am grateful to be a Canadian and appreciate everything the governments (federal and provincial) have done.

Edit: wrt COVID-19 response.

I would also like to know the reason why a subdomain is not sufficient to host a status page as long it's pointing to an independent infrastructure.
Another alternative that I've been using for ~5 years is MailHog https://github.com/mailhog/MailHog

Re:Oracle Dyn DNS Services Shutting Down in 2020 on Tuesday June 25, 2019 @03:15PM (#20277794)
The only reason I was with Dyn is because they acquired EveryDNS. The cycle of big fish eating the little fish continues.

Costco still uses it here in Canada or at least the ones I've been to.
Re:Ask HN: What are the best light-weight CSS frameworks? on Tuesday November 04, 2014 @12:27AM (#8555260)
UIKit (http://getuikit.com/) is my personal favourite. Pure (http://purecss.io/) is nice too.
Bucardo (http://bucardo.org/wiki/Bucardo) is a along the same lines. It could really use some help improving documentation.

The presentation and audio links seem to be broken.
Re:Announcing Free Incoming SMS For All on Wednesday July 23, 2014 @02:22PM (#8076008)
I think Nexmo had free incoming sms for years. You only pay for the virtual number.
