Re:Ask HN: Is it just me or why does Docker suck so much? by kimh on Wednesday August 13, 2014 @08:49AM (#8172601)
Docker is good to run application container, not suitable for virtulizing OS. Therefore, playing with system configuration files such as /etc/hosts of /etc/resolv.conf is not something that you want to do in Docker. You should use LXC, instead.

I agree that Docker is suck sometimes, but most of times are because existing application is not built in a way that docker expects. I am optimistic that more are more applications are designed to be used for container environment.
