I think it's miss-using the service in this example.
The example should be using factory:
.factory('RemoteResource', function($http){
return {retrieve: function(){ $http.get("url"); }}
})
Service should be like this:
.service('RemoteResource', function($http){
this.retrieve = function(){ $http.get("url"); }
})
Service should be like this: .service('RemoteResource', function($http){ this.retrieve = function(){ $http.get("url"); } })
