The video is clearly fake... The media should hold higher standards, and verify sources before publishing to the public. A peaceful agreement can be reached but it requires sensible actions by both parties.

Fake or not, the real problem for the US is that the video is credible. The rest of the world has not forgotten Abu Graihb.
According to the Wikipedia article, this was standard procedure: "anyone taken to holding cells of the New York federal courthouse is automatically subjected to a strip search". That's just barbaric.

And yet what is interesting is a note in that article saying they did strip search her. In other words what they are saying is "we strip searched her but this isn't the video of it."

I'm interested to know why it is "clearly" fake - I followed your link and understand the denials, but have no reason to believe them over any other account.

Only one word: Disgusted. This is a shame. The Police Dept. calls this "standard procedure", i call it torture, human rights violation and rape. Because "Cavity Search" is syntax sugar for "Sticking fingers or objects into her anus and vagina".
I'm absolutely shocked and worried. What if she wasn't a diplomat? What if she was just a normal tourist or someone visiting relatives? It wouldn't make the situation better. Is this what usually happens in the US? Are they actually allowed to do this?

Absolutely disgusting footage. India has every right to be angry and so should everyone else. It appears that a male was administering the cavity search. Isn't this against the TSA's rules?

I don't understand how the protestation that this is "standard practice" is supposed to help - in effect they seem to be saying "we abuse, degrade and humiliate anyone we detain, regardless of the level of perceived threat".

hmmm..... Not sure if that really helps.

IF this is not a fake, it's out-%$^#-ing-rageous, the poor woman was treated like an animal. OTOH she should pay her staff a living wage.
