img { opacity: 0; transition: opacity .2s; }; img.loaded { opacity: 1; };

$(function(){ $('img').load(function(){this.addClass('loaded')}) });

It works with $(this).addClass instead of this.addClass: $('img').load(function(){ $(this).addClass('loaded')});
