My wife taught at a small for-profit high school for one year. Long hours, extra BS like babysitting the lunchroom, dealing with parents, low pay, having to write her own curriculum: she quit because it totally sucks ass.

Seeing how hard it is made me appreciate a few excellent teachers I had through school more.
