History is full of companies (eg, bugatti?) that make exquisite things and still go out of business. It would be more interesting for you to back up your beliefs with some kind of evidentiary based logic. The strategy of 'being first' is not a winner on its face. Look at apple, they were not 'first' but they build a better mousetrap. A tesla is not really a better mousetrap (except for your personal ego), from the point of view of society. Electric still needs to be generated (often from coal). There is still traffic, traffic jams, ugly re-fueling stations etc. In addition, tesla will not be solving the problems of interstate commerce (ie, container/cargo) so we will need to keep duplicate petrol infrastructure. These are not 'nay-sayer' arguments, they are more like the problems that you see if you actually dig below the veneer of a "concept" stock/elon musk fetish.
I wish I could find it, but Warren Buffet had a great quote about new technologies. He said, roughly, that even when everyone knows a new technology is the future, it's still impossible to predict what company will win, and therefore which stock to invest in. He gave many examples: airplanes, radio, television, cars, computers.
