From a fellow know-nothing when it comes to "flatness" and skeu-something I was a little bit surprised when the author complained that the old "receive a call" interface was full with alert-like buttons. They are supposed to be "Alert" buttons, for crying out loud, as in you're asleep in your bed, the phone starts ringing which means you have been "alerted", you're now woken up and ready to answer the call or deny it.

Which brings me to my second point, that is where is the "Deny" button/action in the new interface. ? I could only see "Answer" and "Remind me later".

If Jony Ive had wanted you to deny calls, he would have given you a button for it. Now stop complaining and answer your phone.

Not sure why it doesn't appear in the screenshots but it's definitely there. Used it today on iOS7 B1.

It is there - if the phone is not locked when you receive the call. Otherwise you have to press power button twice to reject. That hasn't changed from iOS6.

You have always been able to deny calls using the power button on top. Presumably that method is now compulsory.

That doesn't deny the call. It just turns the ringer/buzzer off until they give up.

If you double click the top button, it does deny the call.

You can press it a second time after that to "deny" the call.

Pressing it again will deny the call.
