Not every company has to become a billion dollar company to be successful. And while scaling geographically is great, one can create a model that goes deep instead of going wide, and for a local business this could mean totally dominating a city with multiple verticals. Either way, "will it scale" shouldn't be the question. "Will it sell?" is more important, especially for a boot-strapped company.
