Italian, because I wanted to go live there. It was one of the best and most important things in my life, as I met my wife there. Learning a language and living "somewhere else" is a great experience - and I think the two should be combined. Learning a language feels pointless until you have real, live people in front of you, that you can communicate with only if you can speak their language.
