Just play some nethack, and you'll be completely comfortable with the hjkl movement keys in no time.

I did this, then I started missing the yubn diagonal movement in vim. ;)

Yep, having to play Crawl a few minutes a week is like piano lessons for my son now ;) Someday he'll understand why.

I just can't use them. I activate the number-pad every time I play.

That said, I'm more of an emacs guy.
