Does anyone know how secure this is? I'm assuming that the traffic is unencrypted, so technically your packets could be intercepted.

pretty much as reliable as IP, and that is not reliable.

put TCP and UDP on top of it and it works fine.

use a VPN and go through that and you're good to go.
