Two main characters essentially combine into Batman. Maybe Finch is a bit of Alfred as well
Creator of the show is Chris Nolan's brother. That should tell you everything (including the choice of John Reese / Jim Caviezel, who resembles Christian Bale not just in looks but acting too)
And the woman (from buffy) (don't recall her name).
And of course Elias
Caviezel did a decent job in the show (for what it was) but once you see/hear him speak his mind outside of the industry, it ruins it for you.

Also, Bear deserves credit as being one of the main characters who holds it together.

A lot of actors are people you don't want to know in person. Hell, look at Mel Gibson.
One of my most fav TV Serials to have come out of the West.
