Seeking: Creative technologist, frontend developer, creative developer, or similar roles.
Hey HN! I'm a Brooklyn based developer/designer who loves making things, both digital and physical.
I spent much of my 20s working for a government contractor on digital projects for government agencies. I was laid off at the end of 2020 during COVID related financial trouble, and decided to build something of my own: CryptoGain, a charting and analytics app I designed, developed, and launched for Android and iOS. (Don't worry, I'm not a crypto bro. I just really like charts.) Some fortunate investments gave me room to keep building and experimenting.
In January 2026 I started PowerUpPocket (https://poweruppocket.com), restoring and creating one-of-a-kind Nintendo 3DS consoles. It combines design, electronics, and fabrication, but the best part is hearing from customers who found a little joy in something I made.
Life got pretty rough this summer. I've been couch surfing and sometimes sleeping in my workshop while trying to get back on my feet. Then Etsy shut down my shop last week, cutting off nearly all my business income. So I'm looking for work again.
My path's unconventional, but I love solving problems, teaching myself new tools, and taking ideas from concept to finished product. I'd be grateful for any opportunities or introductions. Thanks for reading!
