You’re probably right about some third party libraries, but not about all or even most of them. Package repositories are full of half baked packages that are the result of a single person scratching their own itch once upon a time and thereafter forgetting about it. The more harmful part happens when those get imported into other third party libraries that give the image of being better supported. Supply chain attacks are the new null pointer.
