As a (light) gamer for two decades who has been reading about the gaming industry for the past few months, I cannot understate how hard it is to create a good game, let alone a great game. So much money was spent/wasted on hopeless endeavors.
These people have no idea what good games mean.

And it's devouring tens of millions. I know what tens of millions can make in the video game industry, it can keep a small team of good devs and designers and artists making something special that's _really_ enjoyed by tens of thousands of people.
