I did not say that. People can still do math even if they are completely eclipsed by AI, just as they can still play chess.

In fact, it's an interesting question: Would humans distilling ideas from AI-generated proofs help AI prove more theorems, or would AI not care at all, with no human contribution being useful in advancing its mathematical capabilities?

You were implying that the profession of mathematician would just change character to be more like the profession of the biologist. However, the issue is that it might stop being a viable profession, unlike for the biologists (until robots take over, I guess).
