Software engineer with ~9 years of experience, currently working on business-critical banking systems. Most of my professional background is in mature enterprise systems with COBOL and Java; more recently I've been focusing on Go, backend development, infrastructure, and AI-assisted engineering through personal projects.
I enjoy understanding systems end-to-end, debugging difficult problems, and working in codebases where reliability and maintainability actually matter. I'm looking for remote backend, platform, or generalist engineering work, preferably a long-term contractor arrangement. Go is my preferred direction, but I'm open to other stacks and flexible on title/seniority for the right opportunity.
I'm mainly looking for backend, platform, or generalist engineering work. I'd love to work with Go, but I'm open to other stacks if the role and team are a good fit. Tech is also genuinely a hobby for me, so outside work I'm usually building something, experimenting with infrastructure, or learning something new.
Remote: Yes, preferred
Willing to relocate: Yes, for exceptional opportunities
Technologies: Go (current focus), COBOL, SQL/PostgreSQL, Linux, Docker, Git, REST APIs, React/TypeScript (basic), AI/LLM tooling and agent workflows
