It’s the same problem as you get in open source with talented developers coding applications but then having no idea how an user interface works.
The material is good but if the way they share it (user interface) to other is abysmal then the whole also become abysmal.
Keep things simple, straight to the point and don’t assume the user has nearly as much knowledge as you have.
