I'm a hands-on backend engineer with 18+ years in fintech and payments - debit cards, e-wallets, bank transfers - working mostly in Go and Java.

At Finverse (Hong Kong; bank account aggregation and transfer APIs) I built the product from zero to production, including the CI/CD pipeline: every commit that passed the full end-to-end regression suite in staging deployed to production automatically, zero downtime, commit to live in under 30 minutes.

At YouTrip (multi-currency travel card) I worked on the card platform as it scaled to handle millions of transactions a day, and led the architecture for multi-country deployment from a single codebase - Go, Kubernetes and Kafka.

Before that I built valuations and trading platforms at Goldman Sachs and Merrill Lynch. After a career break for family and a move to the UK in 2023, I'm fully available to start. Open to full-time or contract; remote or hybrid around Reading/London. I'm authorised to work in the UK and need no sponsorship.

Happy to talk backend, distributed systems, or CI/CD.
