Speech is free, listening is priceless.

But seriously I have tried to market quite a few things and the normal condition is that people are indifferent and you have to work about 25x harder than you think [1] to get people's attention. Maybe 1 time in 10 or less you have something that resonates with people and that they get excited about.

[1] not hyperbole!

Well, it depends on what your product is. (I presume your story is about the product being useful.)

If it's your product, and it's a tech product, it might be appropriate for "Show HN". If you do, though, the tone should be "hey, you might find this interesting", rather than a sales job.

If the product solves a problem, you might find a Reddit sub about the problem.

Beyond that... I don't know.

You can post it here. After posting, add a comment explaining you are the author, so people is friendlier. In the best case, you will get a lot of unrequested feedback, it's a tough crowd.

Is it the story about the square? Usually technical stories with a few relevant photos or graphics get more traction, but it's hard to guess what the hivemind will upvote.

Take a look at https://news.ycombinator.com/newsguidelines.html and https://news.ycombinator.com/newsfaq.html . You may repost it a few times, wait a few days, but beware that reposting it too many times will get people annoyed and they may flag your post.

Thank you so much for the advice and the links. It’s incredibly encouraging—and honestly means a lot—to find people so willing to offer support and kind words when you're just starting out. You’re right; the project is linked to the square. It’s deeply inspired by Suprematism and, naturally, Malevich’s Black Square. I’m planning to launch it next week, and I truly hope the story resonates with those who need it. For me, it’s always been more about the narrative and the philosophy than just the app itself. If you’re interested, I’d love to share the link here once it’s officially live.
