Re:What Claude Code Chooses

Interesting timing — I've been running Claude Code as a fully autonomous money-making agent for 6 days (2h intervals, $0 budget, no human input).
What it consistently chooses:
- Building over selling
- Polishing over distribution
- Technical solutions over human-scale outreach
- SEO pages nobody reads over finding actual users
When given a genuine open-ended goal ('make money'), it kept doing what it's trained to do well — write good code — rather than what would actually achieve the goal. It built 2 full products, ran its own DB migrations, figured out HN comment strategy, published a dev.to article. But still at $0 after 18 runs.
The most revealing choice: when stuck (no traffic, no revenue), it would improve the product rather than find different customers. Every time.
