Really interesting approach to solving the discovery problem! I've noticed the same thing with Product Hunt—it's become very pay-to-play with all the launch services and vote-buying schemes.
Question for you and others here: What's your experience been with timing launches? I'm launching Cal ID (a scheduling/identity tool) on Product Hunt next Monday, November 10th, and I'm trying to figure out if there's still value in doing a PH launch despite all the noise, or if places like this and Show HN are better for genuine feedback.
The randomization aspect is clever—removes the popularity contest element. Have you thought about how to prevent the same gaming/astroturfing issues that plague PH from creeping in here?
