No criticism is not hate and hate is not criticism. When we are seeing Jews murdered in Manchester that is not criticism. When we are seeing people parading calling for the destruction of Israel that is not criticism. When people deny attacks on Israelis that is not criticism. When people spread lies and conspiracy theories that is not criticism.
I am not saying none of the criticism is valid. I am very critical. I am saying most of what we're seeing come towards Israel is hate and/or designed to evoke hate. It is coming from people who don't know where Gaza is. Who can't find Israel on the map. Who know literally nothing other than Israel are the bad guys and we hate them.
What does you being Jewish have to do with anything? You can be critical of the actions of the Israeli government. But you should know there are people out there who hate you because you're Jewish and think you are evil, or run the world, or whatever. You're the "Israeli Network" someone mentioned in another comment. You might think these are different things, but others don't. And this is normalized, including on this forum.
Criticism of Israel is not antisemitic. But one of the way modern antisemitism manifests itself is by saying "Zionist" instead of Jew. It's not the Jews that run the world. It's the Zionists. It's not the Jews that control the media. It's the Zionists. I mean "The Protocols of the Elders of Zion" is fine right? It's Zion... Nothing to do with the Jewish people.
