Yeah and the dumber ones think they’re smart because they did the grindy schooling. My dad is a physician and did EE undergrad - he says EE is much harder and med school is (mostly) low complexity but high volume, high memorization.

If anything it’s somewhat of a lemon market that’s worse than average because it’s not a great career generally to leverage skill into wealth (relatively compared to other options), but it lets risk averse people on rails get a decent outcome.
