Hello, I'm Phantasus, I have 10+ years experience in building backend systems all kinds of operational and analytical use cases. I started as a C Programmer at the Scientific Games International GmbH in Vienna and worked after that mostly by accident as a Ruby on Rails coder at bigger, small and mid-sized companies. These days I call myself a "software developer" in a previous life I was for 18 years a long-time member of a hackerspace in Vienna, so maybe a "hacker"? Currently I started a company for contract work, so I'm open for contracting, but also for part-time or full-time employment work, if the company is interesting enough.
Stuff I did for money
- Built an performant event analytics pipeline, which was used to process computer vision events to make analysis based on that and which ingested that data from multiple providers.
- Maintained & extended a micro-service which provided a CMS for a couple of white-label apps
- Maintained & extended an old legacy application over many years, which was important at a company I worked for and had to be available 24/7.
- Integrated geo-spatial functionality with Sqlite, libgeos and libproj into a new product for a company
- Maintained & extended a micro-service for analysis of geo-tracking data, which provided the analysis as a REST API
- Collaborated on building a project management tool in Rails for Scrum
Stuff I did not for money can be found on my Github, which is incomplete and I'm all interested in network related, gamedev, 3d, backend, embedded or system programming related topics.
