What is wrong with me?

I tried several modern Civilizations but I keep coming back to Freeciv. Freeciv from 1996 with its Civ II ruleset is more fun for me than Civ 5 or 6.

I never thought of myself as conservative or sticking-to-the-old just because I am used to it. Or am I?

Is it objectively more fun? If you actually ask yourself if you're used to it, you could list the positives and negatives of both games and compare, maybe it could open your eyes (or confirm your suspicion)

Fun is subjective, nothing is objectively (more, less, or unmodified) fun.
