It might be but as someone who attempts that in many discussions: it's fucking exhausting to take the high road all the time against apologists, propaganda-fed brains, etc.

Namecalling is a natural evolution of said exhaustion. Bullshit will always take orders of magnitude more effort to fight than to spew it.
