Is the article truly misleading or is the parent comment just a personal complaint.
The article refers to productivity growth not wages. The term "productivity" appears about 23 times. Maybe Silicon Valley VC and the so-called "tech industry" are not soaring but the US economy is a different matter. As other commenters mention, irrespective of how wages are distributed, Americans are still spending and consuming at a relatively high rate.
