Huh. I missed that. That is cool. I wonder if it was cheaper on a FLOP basis to go with ARM versus buying from Intel/AMD?

I guess a secondary factor is that it was made of custom/low volume CPUs, which would increase the unit price as compared to the higher volume providers.

Also, Cray had one using Fujitsu's ARM chips.
