Mate, I feel you. I get that gnawing feeling in your gut - that sense that you can't trust what you're reading anymore. It's like trying to spot a deepfake in a sea of Instagram filters. You know it's out there, but damned if you can tell what's real and what's not. It's like everyone's on literary steroids, and if you're not juicing, you're left in the dust. But here's the thing, there's still something special about human writing. It's got soul, you know? Maybe we need to start valuing that human touch more. Like how vinyl made a comeback in the age of digital music. In the meantime, I'm with you on diving into the classics. At least we know Hemingway wasn't getting an assist from ChatGPT. But don't give up on new stuff entirely. There are still plenty of humans out there pouring their hearts onto the page. We just might have to work a bit harder to find them. Chin up, mate. The robots haven't won yet.

Spoken like a true LLM.

You know that ChatGPT writing is still obvious even when you ask it to change its style, right?

Please provide evidence for this claim.

Take a look at the user's comment history. I'd argue the majority of them are generated, it really doesn't take much to recognize the patterns and tics those models commonly display (for now*), and it doesn't seem there was any attempt to make it appear otherwise, too. It may look coherent at first, but there's no deeper meaning or significance, it's noise.

So no evidence. Got it.
